InternshipsInternship and Volunteer Application Form (pdf) Internships for MIT and Wellesley studentsMIT and Wellesley students are eligible to work at the Museum as unpaid interns or volunteers. Students may also apply through MIT's Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP). Other InternshipsAll students enrolled in a college or university are welcome to explore internship opportunities with the MIT Museum. The MIT Museum does not offer paid internships although Museum staff will work with a work study or other program at the student's home school to assure credit and/or payment. VolunteeringVolunteers assist Museum staff on both short-term and long-term projects. Placement is determined once a potential volunteer's qualifications, interests, and time availability are matched with staff needs. Opportunities exist "behind-the-scenes" and during public programs and events. Volunteer opportunities may exist in these areas:
