Low Rez/Hi FiLow Rez/HI FI consists of a of double-sided light-emitting diode (LED) net that addresses and engages passers-by with its performative and responsive behavior. Movement along themsidewalk, captured by cameras, triggers a dynamic response from each of the addressable pixels. Walking past Low Rez/HI FI, a passerby will notice his or her image broadcast on the LED net - a digital “shadow”. The work provides an opportunity for the public to engage issues of surveillance and information overload in the public realm. Low Rez/HI FI appeared in Design Life Now: National Design Triennial 2006 at the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York. J.
