Suggestions Wanted

The Commencement Committee invites suggestions for speakers and/or topic 
areas from all members of the MIT Community for a Commencement speaker 
at MIT's Commencement Exercises on Monday,  June 3, 1991. The 
Commencement speaker should be one who will be able to address topics of 
relevance to MIT. Written suggestions and/or topic areas may be dropped 
off at the following locations:

Undergraduate Association Office, Rm W20-401

Graduate Student Council Office, Rm 50-222

Information Center, Rm 7-121

The deadline for suggestions and/or topic areas is Wednesday, May 16.  
In addition, suggestions and/or topic areas may be filed with  Michael 
D. Grossberg, 1990-1991 president of the Graduate Student Council; Dawn 
L. Mitzner, president of the Class of 1991; Mary L. Morrissey, executive 
officer for Commencement, or Martin F. Schlecht, chairman of the 
Commencement Committee. 

All suggestions and/or topic areas will be reviewed, and a list will be 
submitted to the president of the Institute for consideration. The list 
will not be rank ordered nor will it be made public.  The responsibility 
and authority for selecting a Commencement speaker and issuing an 
invitation will rest with the president of the Institute.
